This interview [1] took place when Brother Andres Maria of the Cross, a Catholic monk, was 26 years old [2]. This blogger is very impressed by both the 24-year old interviewer and Brother Andres Maria. The interview was published on You Tube by TRUTH NetMedia on October 26, 2015, and was 42 minutes and 32 seconds long. It would take too much time to transcribe it. The first half of the interview was mainly biographical but many things Brother Andres Maria said during the second half were profound and deeply spiritual. He and some other Catholic brothers and priests who also have appearances on You Tube are evidence that God is still very active in calling young men with gifts of wisdom, intellect and eloquence to live consecrated lives dedicated to serving God's Truth.
One question the interviewer asked Brother Andres Maria was how to bring more peace into one's life [3], which is the objective of this blog, to which Brother Andres Maria answered, "The author and fountain of our peace is God...and it's impossible to find true peace if you're not with the Fountain of Peace." [4]
Near the end of the interview, the interviewer asked Brother Andres Maria, "What is the Church?" [5] As part of his answer, Brother Andres Maria said, "It's all of us. You're the Church. I'm the Church. Every baptized is the Church, and we hope that everyone becomes part of the Church. It's definitely not just a material institution. If for some reason something happens to the Vatican and it disappears, the Church continues." [6] [Emphasis added.] Could the words in italics possibly be prophetic?
