John Brannox Was Asked About Love On HBO's The New Pope

"What is love to you?" a woman asks.

John Brannox answers: "A vagrant lies dying on the street corner.  The government says to him, 'I'll help you.'  The doctor says to him, 'I'll kill you.'  His daughter says to him, 'I'll give you money.'  His friend says to him, 'I'll share my wine with you.'  And the [Catholic] Church says nothing to him.  The Church is thinking about him."

Moments later he says:  "Tonight the Church is thinking about that vagrant and I will be thinking about the Church."

And so should all Catholics think about the Church that is thinking about the vagrant.
